The Tampa Horse Show Association is the most enduring group of its kind in Florida. The success of its renowned
Tampa Charity Horse Show, held each spring
since 1931 at the opening of the national show season, has made it one of the
most respected show organizations in the United States. Its less formal
Harvest Days Horse Show, held each fall
since 1967, has become Florida's most popular state competition.
Both shows feature Saddlebreds, Morgans, Roadsters, and Ponies.
Today's Tampa Horse Show Association, Inc. members and volunteers have defied
the odds by sustaining two high-level horse shows --
even as other groups have been forced to discontinue their shows.
The fact that many of the nation's top trainers
and horses still high-tail it to Tampa Bay each spring is a tribute to the
Association, which is extremely proud to offer riders of all ages and means the
opportunity to indulge in this most classic of family sports.
- In addition to offering great shows, the
Association has made Tampa Bay a better place to live by awarding over $150,000
to its charities. Our current charity is the The Scottish Rite
Foundation of Florida, which provides clinics for the treatment of childhood
language disorders. You can also donate to
this worthy cause.
